According to http://www.timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=842747, President Obama will be visiting HVCC this Monday. More details will be available soon.
I'm in the process of actually doing something with this site, but as a result of this the registration process has failed, and all the pending registrations were lost. Sorry about that, but I should be significantly more responsive to registration requests now.
Some of the things that I am doing are:
improving the blog engine
improving the registration engine
changing the theming
reaching out to the community in several ways. For example, any city employee just has to ask and I will give them their own email account here.
Attached are 2 pdf files of the annual water quality report for 2008 for the city of Rensselaer. No serious issues to report. This should be in your next bill from the city.

NORTH GREENBUSH - The Rensselaer County Health Department lifted the boil water order this morning for four communities that faced the loss of water after a main broke on Monday.
Residences on Glenmore Road must continue to boil water until further notice, the county said.
The boil water order was issued after a break in the main on Glenmore Road. The 45-year-old main links the town to the water supply from Troy.

NORTH GREENBUSH - With help from the city of Albany, workers repaired the 36-inch water pipe that ruptured Monday, threatening water service to four Rensselaer County communities.
A mandatory boil water order remains in effect for residents along Glenmore Road where the break in the 45-year-old water main that routes water from Troy to the other communities happened about 3 p.m.
Today the School confirmed that at least 1 case of H1N1 has been at the school. They are urging precautions. What I haven't seen in the news is that most of the 4th grade is reportedly sick as well with Strep Throat. This may have been spread widely on a class trip to the The Great Escape. The School's web page has their h1n1 notice up - http://www.rcsd.k12.ny.us/documents/H1N1LettertoParents.pdf.
Update - Times union reports that there are actually only "2" cases of strep throat. What?
